Mr. Campisi is an attorney who represents patients who have been injured by sub-standard medical care. Some of the patients he represents are Kaiser-Permanente members.

“Substandard medical care” is care which does not meet established criteria for medical practitioners.

Usually, substandard care results from an unintended failure to provide treatment which is required by medical consensus.  An “unintended” failure to provide medical care required by the standard of care is called “medical negligence” or  “medical malpractice.”

When a person is injured because of “medical malpractice” our legal system provides that the injured person may be compensated for his or her injuries.   Compensation for negligent injury is not about “blame.” Almost all of us make mistakes from time to time, and mistakes sometimes injure others. Insurance exists because mistakes happen.
